He has physical disabilities caused by Cerebral Palsy, but he is now learning to walk using a walking frame. He can speak, although not very clearly. He has little or possibly no intellectual disability. He is bright, mischievous and full of energy. He is learning to read and spell using special educational tools. He is a master of Connect 4 and Dominoes. He learns new numbers and words quickly, but he cannot learn his colors. We suspect he is color blind.

Khoa was born in November 2000 and came to live at Hoi An Orphanage when he was six and a half years old. He has Cerebral Palsy. Khoa was placed in the orphanage by his parents who love him, but they were unable to support him adequately with his disability. When we first met Khoa, he could not walk, feed himself, or doing anything educationally. He is now doing all of these things, and improving all the time. Khoa is a beguiling and intelligent child, who now lives under the guardianship of Jackie Wrafter while still attending the programs at Hoi An Orphanage.
